- Building the right types of connections is fundamental to the type of person you wish to become. With this in mind, the power of networking has never been more important. Your network shapes and defines your outcome.
- Networking is a skill-set that you must develop. A network is a conversation that provides value for each participant. It’s not just about what you can get out of someone.
- Fine tune your introduction and how you present yourself to someone. Tailor your opening elevator pitch to the event or meeting that you’re attending. Make yourself as relevant as possible in the least amount of time.
- Following up is a bespoke process. The most important thing is to secure the meeting. From then, we can ensure we’re using a more preferred method of communication, but get that meeting set in stone and take it from there.
