From a 1-bottle company to over 80 different SKU’s, Ice Shaker has grown from $80,000 in sales before Shark Tank, to over $3,000,000 in less than a year after airing.
Chris discusses the transition from sports to business, and the lessons he transferred from the former that have helped him to shoot to success.
- A work ethic is a vital component in teaching discipline, value and responsibility. By instilling this as early as possible, we maximise out potential for each day.
- Identifying a need is crucial in developing an idea to take to market. Focus on the needs around you and identify the gap in the market that isn’t serving those needs.
- Marketing is an art. Having a large audience isn’t a guarantee of business success. Reaching your customers is a process of research and applying data creatively to your marketing plans.
- Being a professional athlete requires determination and grit, achieved through a focussed mind-set. Business is the same. We must train ourselves in determination, building a determined mind-set that allows us to overcome the challenges ahead.
