In this week's show, Nick talks to business accelerator, best-selling author and creator of 'The Generosity Culture', April Shprintz, about why the culture of generosity is so important to organisations, and how best to implement it within your workforce.
The generosity culture is centred around giving someone your time, your experience, your focus. It must be given without expectation.
Some people have a natural desire to create an impact due to their innate desire to create positive change and impact.
Many organisations have cultures driven by the sales team. Therefore, this is the best place to start when trying to implement a new thesis.
A toxic or negative environment can sometimes be the result of a single person whose discontent spreads slowly and surely. Leaders must be aware of these counterintuitive forces which work against a positive culture.
'How fast can we help people scale, by using those principles?'
'I want you to give something so much more valuable - your time'
'It's almost like farming, where you plant seeds without knowing what will pop up'
'Who you fire tends to matter more than who you hire'
