In this week’s ’15 Minutes To Action’ show, Nick talks you through the ways in which you can energise your speaking, and give a TedX-calibre presentation when you need to
- Facing your fears down is the first step in improving in areas that might seem terrifying. Speaking is an art, and it requires a leap of faith, followed by practice.
- Narratives engage us on a primal level. Since the beginning of time, man has communicated ideas through storytelling. It’s a case of developing your own style and finding the story at the core of your message.
- You have a limited time to get any message across. Use that time wisely, concisely, and utilise emotional connection when you can.
- Make sure you’re passionate about what you’re talking about. If you find it valuable, then other people will pick up on that.
‘I was once terrible at speaking!’
‘Because I faced my fear in that way, I ended up getting significantly better’
‘You have to have an ability to tell a story’
‘It’s not really about being perfect. The best people who present are the ones who show the most passion’

ABOUT THE HOST
My name is Nick Bradley. I’m an entrepreneur, author, speaker and investor. My background is in growing and scaling VC and Private Equity backed businesses.
Having successfully built, bought and sold a number of companies, and removed myself from day-to-day operations, my focus now is on helping entrepreneurs get to where they want to be, in business and in life. As well as investing in growth businesses and backing turnarounds – with the ultimate aim of creating value from significant capital events.
I’m passionate about personal and professional development – showing up and being the best version of myself … every day.
My bigger vision is to help bring entrepreneurial skills, experience and mindset to people in developing nations – so they can follow their dreams, live life more on their terms – utilising entrepreneurship as a global force for good.
